A privacy-first SMS platform that helps independent sellers answer inbound customer texts — products, pricing, hours, and appointments — with replies grounded in seller-approved business context.
The brief
Small sellers lose sales in the gap between a customer’s text and their reply. Charm AI closes that gap without turning SMS into a marketing channel: the product is deliberately scoped to conversations the customer starts.
The build
The studio designed and engineered the platform end to end — a Next.js and TypeScript application on Supabase for data and authentication, Stripe for billing, and the Telnyx messaging API for delivery.
The AI layer is built around local inference (Ollama running Llama 3.1) rather than a third-party model API, a privacy-first choice for software that handles customers’ messages.
Compliance as a feature
Business texting in the United States is tightly regulated. The studio completed A2P 10DLC carrier registration and built consent directly into the product: opt-in disclosures, STOP and HELP keyword handling, and suppression of future replies after an opt-out. Drafts of the Terms of Service, Privacy Policy, and Acceptable Use Policy were prepared alongside.
